Swansea Uplands V Dragons. 29/09/13. Away.

We played Swansea Uplands today in Three Crosses. It was perfect rugby weather but we were not at our best. We need to make sure that everyone in the team is focused on the game and gives 100 percent when they are on the pitch. There were quite a few of our players gazing at the sky today........perhaps they were soaking up the sun before our usual rain soaked Sundays start! They say a picture paints a thousands words so see if you can spot the frustrated coaches in the photos! The Dragons who stood out this week were Sam, Lewis and Luca. Jack did a great job as captain. Our player of the week was Rhys who put in some great tackles and got stuck in even after cutting his knee. Thank you for all your support; there were loads of family members at the ground today cheering on our team. Mark.

Gowerton V Dragons. 22/09/13. Away.

Oh well, we were thrashed! On the bright side the Dragons played really well in the second half. I assume they responded to my excellent motivational talk! Theo did well in his first game and put in some crunching tackles. Rhidian was excellent and was voted player of the the week by the parents. Mark.

Dragons V Dunvant (Home) 15/09/13

The Dragons were brilliant today. They played Dunvant in a game that started in ominous conditions and ended in a full blown monsoon! The game was evenly matched with both teams scoring great trys and putting in plenty of tackles. I think we may have edged a victory today, although I must confess I was not keeping count. Thank you to Dunvant for refereeing the match. It was good to see James again. Everyone played well but Sam was awesome! Keep it up boys. Mark.

Dragons V Morriston......a few more photos!

Dragons V Morriston. Bishopston. 08/09/13.

I was proud of the Dragons today. We were outclassed by a very strong Morriston team but we can be proud of our performance. The Dragons got stuck in and tackled with enthusiasm. There are areas that we need to improve. The Dragons need to spread out and use the space available on the pitch. We also need to make sure we keep moving forward and not run backwards! We will work on this in training. Thank you Grant for refereeing our game. Well done Dragons. Mark.
