Christmas Party. Rugby Club. 19/12/12. 18:00-18:30 start.

We will be holding a Christmas Party for the Dragons in the Rugby Club this Wednesday(19/12/12). Please arrive between 6 and 6:30pm. I really need your help! Please, please can I have volunteers for the following: Party Games and music (suitable, no hardcore drum and bass!). Please can you also chose an item of food to bring to the party. Add a comment on this blog post so that everyone else know what you are bringing so we don't end up with 12 plates of Pizza (although that would be no bad thing!). Can I suggest the following (feel free to chose something different): Mince Pies for mums and dads, pizza, sausage rolls, crisps, sandwiches (we will will need more than one plate), cakes and biscuits. There will be presents for the Dragons! Thanks for your help. Mark.

Dragons V Gorseinon. (Home). 09/12/12. 10:45

We had a great game against Gorseinon last week. Both teams were evenly matched. Both Gorseinon and Mumbles played some great rugby facilitated by an excellent referee! I have a new found respect for Nigel Owen after last weeks game. Fancy being heckled from the side lines by your own parents! I don't have any pictures as I forgot to take my camera. Mark.

Dragons V Loughor (Home)

We had a tough game against Loughor last Sunday. The boys played really well especially in the 2nd and third part of the game. Sorry for the delay in putting the pictures on the Blog. Dexter lost his Swansea city coat. If you took it home by mistake please can you let me know. Mark.

Dragons V Swansea Uplands. Away. Llandarcy.

We had another really good game against one of the toughest (and biggest!) teams in our area. It was great to play on the fantastic 3G pitch in Llandarcy. Ben scored two trys today! Exponential improvement should mean that he is scoring over 100 points a game by the end of the season! Great play by all the boys today. Well done. Mark.

Dragons V Pontyberm and Hendy (Away). 18/11/12

The Dragons played 2 games today against Hendy and Pontyberm. Whilst our defensive play still needs a bit of work there was some great rugby today. The boys scored some very impressive trys. I think Ben scored his fist in a game; running the whole length of the pitch with fantastic support by Jack. Dexter was on fire today with great swerving. We saw the 'Rhidian shuffle' a few times!, Luca Rhys, Aedan, James, Will and Joe you were fantastic. Well done boys. Mark.

Dragons V Vardre. Away. 11/11/12

I was really proud of the Dragons today. The boys put their arms around each others shoulders and stood absolutely still as everyone observed a minutes silence. They also played really well. Vardre thrashed us last time we played them but despite having just 7 players (and Will was ill) they were their equals today. The Dragons held their defensive line well. Restarts were great. The Dragons were planning how to start the game as they walked back to the half way line just as we have discussed in training. There were passes before tags and swift offloads leading to trys. Absolutely fantastic! Well done boys. Mark. ;

Dragons V Fall Bay (Home) 21/10/12

The Dragons Played Fall Bay today. It was a beautiful autumn day and everyone enjoyed their rugby. Both teams were evenly matched. The boys played 30 minutes of really good rugby. There were some great individual try's and really solid defensive play. We just need to move together as a defensive line; something to practise in training. We all hope Luca is ok. He hurt his thumb and had to leave early. Well done boys another great game.

Dragons V Gowerton

Sorry for the delay in updating the blog. Last weekend we played Gowerton at Home. It was a tough game but the Dragons played really well. Both teams were evenly matched and the Dragons continue to improve. Well done boys. Mark.
